Biography:
Mr. Freeze, portrayed by Michael Ansara, is a prominent Batman villain in Batman: The Animated Series (first appearance October 21st, 1992). Originally Dr. Victor Fries, his tragic transformation into Mr. Freeze stems from an attempt to cure his terminally ill wife, Nora, using cryogenics.
An accident during the process drastically lowers his body temperature, forcing him to wear a cryogenic suit to survive. This suit, often featuring a distinctive neck bracket with angled handles, becomes a recognizable part of his appearance.
